This project is the result of research conducted by Caroline Manins. In her research, Caro composes and arranges original music inspired by medieval song traditions and arrangements of medieval songs including 13th-century amor courtois from the court of Champagne, plainchant, oral tradition and jazz pieces. I have played piano for this ensemble on a variety of occasions, including several doctoral recitals and recordings in 2021 and 2022, and a public concert at the Creative Jazz Club (CJC) in 2023. I also contributed an original arrangement of a medieval choral work by Perotin titled Viderunt Omnes, which was performed at the CJC concert.
